The Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions were the 69-61 winner over the Rauner Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Muchin College Prep fell to Rauner 39-35. Muchin College Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rauner's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yahweh Anderson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Anderson also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Quintin Hunt was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and five steals.
Muchin College Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Rauner, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Muchin College Prep will challenge Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rauner is on the road again on Thursday and play against ITW David Speer Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th.
