After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Olentangy, the Norwayne Bobcats were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took down Chippewa 60-44. Given Norwayne's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Chippewa is ranked 672nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Norwayne was led to victory by Parker Metsker and Braden West. Metsker scored eight points along with eight assists and five rebounds, while West scored 17 points. Metsker hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Preattle, who scored ten points.
Norwayne's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Chippewa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Norwayne will look to defend their home court on Friday against Smithville at 7:00 p.m. As for Chippewa, they will head out on the road to challenge Waynedale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
