The Auburndale Bloodhounds will take on the Davenport Broncos in a tournament on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Auburndale needed a bit of extra time to put away Discovery. They won by a run and slipped past the Spartans 6-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bloodhounds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Eric Tucker looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

Jorge Covas made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Davenport is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Auburndale, their victory bumped their record up to 6-16.
