California - Division I (8 Man) Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Hayfork Wins 21st-Straight Thanks to Levi Cavalli
Levi Cavalli was instrumental in extending Hayfork's winning streak to 21 on Friday. Cavalli did his part (and then some), rushing for 175 yards and five touchdowns on only six carries for the 'W'. Cavalli is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 116 every time he's taken the field this season.
Chester had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Cavalli it was a similar story. When Cavalli last faced the Volcanoes back in September, he rushed for 232 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries.

Noah Came Up Big in Burney's 34-16 Victory
Burney found a leader in Kyle Noah as the squad took down Plumas Charter on Friday. Noah was dynamite, rushing for 107 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 84 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Unfortunately for Plumas Charter, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Noah. Back in September (the last time Noah saw the Warriors), he rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes.

Anthony Loza Turns in Season-Best Effort
Tulelake was led to victory by Anthony Loza, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Loza rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.
If the past is any indication, Loza could be in store for another big game when he takes on Chester on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Loza saw the Volcanoes), he picked up 144 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
