Peninsula Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Catholic as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.
Quinn Freakley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Hampton Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to Broadwater Academy. Considering the last time the Warriors couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
Peninsula Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Hampton Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Hampton Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Peninsula Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. It's a different story for Hampton Christian Academy, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Peninsula Catholic's hitters?
