Minford is 9-1 against Valley since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Minford Falcons will look to defend their home court against the Valley Indians at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Minford has six straight victories, Valley has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Minford didn't have too much trouble with McClain on the road as they won 36-21. Given Minford's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while McClain is ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Valley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 39-25 loss to South Webster on Thursday.
Minford pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Minford strolled past Valley in their previous meeting on January 4th by a score of 43-24. Will Minford repeat their success, or does Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
