The Perry Traditional Academy Commodores will be playing in front of their home fans against the Armstrong River Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Perry Traditional Academy has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Armstrong will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Friday, Perry Traditional Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-34 to Propel Braddock Hills.
Meanwhile, Armstrong was able to grind out a solid win over Obama Academy of International Studies on Thursday, taking the game 49-39.
Jack Valasek continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with 6 rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Jacob Szep was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Perry Traditional Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Armstrong, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Perry Traditional Academy was taken down by Armstrong 65-32 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Perry Traditional Academy, Cadin Olsen (who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
