The Battery Creek Dolphins gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Stall as Battery Creek made off with a 65-43 win.
Battery Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alizjah Mathis, who scored 17 points along with 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Gabe Leegette, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaivon Lewis, who scored 10 points. Myron Myers was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Battery Creek's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Stall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Battery Creek will be playing at home against Ridgeland-Hardeeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Ridgeland-Hardeeville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. Stall's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. John's at 8:00 p.m. on December 1st.
