Corum continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Hayden Barlow was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ridgecroft put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Southampton Academy 42-23. 42 seems to be a good number for Ridgecroft as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Makenzie Slaughter was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with 8 assists and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Ridgecroft's points. Another player making a difference was Kate Chamblee, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
The victory got Halifax Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Ridgecroft, they have yet to lose a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 6-0 record.
Monday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy game: Halifax Academy haven't given up the ball easily this season, having only averaged 3 turnovers per game. It's a different story for Ridgecroft, though, as they've been averaging 5.3 per game. Given Halifax Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Ridgecroft will need to find a way to close that gap.
