It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They secured a 72-68 W over Oak Hill. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Oak Hill still got an impressive performance from Alexis Dyer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Dyer has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brilee Dousay, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists.
Lafayette Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Oak Hill, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 21-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette Christian Academy will take on Westgate at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Hill won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pitkin at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Pitkin is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
