On Friday, Lakeland were out to avenge their 8-24 defeat to Deep Creek from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Lakeland and Deep Creek were almost perfectly matched up, but Lakeland suffered an agonizing 26-27 defeat.
The loss dropped Lakeland's record to 1-5. The win bumped Deep Creek's record up to 6-1.
Next week Lakeland take on Grassfield at 7:00 PM. Deep Creek will look to defend their home turf against Oscar Smith at 7:00 PM. Oscar Smith have averaged 35 points over the course of their past six games, so Deep Creek might be in for a challenge.
