Greeneville proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 22) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Science Hill Hilltoppers 42-40. The victory was nothing new for the Greene Devils as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Leading Greeneville to victory were Kyla Jobe and Maria Lyde. Jobe posted 13 points in addition to six assists and three blocks, while Lyde went 7 for 11 en route to 16 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Adkins, who earned six points and ten rebounds.
Greeneville pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Science Hill, they moved to 13-11 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
Greeneville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-10 victory against Cherokee on the 4th. As for Science Hill, they will host West Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
