On Thursday, Shenandoah slipped by the Indians 51-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Shenandoah.
Shenandoah's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kadence Noll, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Noll has scored all season. Brylee May was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Southern still got an impressive performance from Ashley Shroades, who scored 29 points. That was a full 58% of Southern's points, marking the 19th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Shenandoah's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.
Shenandoah won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on February 2nd. Marietta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Southern, they will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Sandy Valley is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
