Adding to the longest winning streak in C1 District 5 this week, Lakeview beat Madison 53-14. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Vikings.
The Dragons fell to Lakeview 53-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Angel Yuman ran for 43 yards and caught 3 passes for 108 yards in the defeat.
Travis Jordan's team's dynamic duo of Jamel Johnson and Yuman proved to be unstoppable against Kurt Frenzen's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Johnson threw for 140 yards and Yuman had 108 yards receiving. Zach Wells helped Madison's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 33 yards.
Jake Bos was a passing and rushing force as Scotus topped Pierce.
The Vikings' Jack Shadley and Mark Jarecki led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Shadley has thrown for 531 yards this season, while Jarecki has 10 catches for 176 yards. The Dragons' Trent Wagner leads the league in rushing yards with 464.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Madison takes on Boone Central/Newman Grove. The Dragons are in fourth place, while the Cardinals are in first place.
Lakeview led C1 District 5 in scoring this week by notching 53 points on Madison.
