Aspire Ollin scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 68-39 win over Central City Value at home. The win was just what Aspire Ollin needed coming off of a 73-47 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Animo Bunche's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 72-21 loss at the hands of Downtown Magnets. Animo Bunche has struggled against Downtown Magnets recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Aspire Ollin pushed their record up to 6-13 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Animo Bunche, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Aspire Ollin didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Animo Bunche in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aspire Ollin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
