Wilson scored a full 36.4% of Shelbyville's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ella Johnson, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds.
Pendleton Heights was led to victory by Olivia Jones and Kaycie Warfel. Jones scored 15 points along with 3 steals, while Warfel scored 16 points along with 7 steals. The game was Warfel's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Adah Hupfer was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 10 rebounds.
Shelbyville bumped their record down to 5-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.67 points. As for Pendleton Heights, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelbyville will face off against Columbus North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Columbus North is ranked 133rd, while Shelbyville is ranked 131st). As for Pendleton Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Vernon at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
