Triplains/Brewster led Western Kansas Liberty (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 54 points on Heartland Christian. Nathan Jorgensen ran for 129 yards and caught 1 pass for 14 yards in the win.
Jorgensen was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Titans bested the Crusaders. He grabbed 1 interception and forced 1 fumble.
Ryan Gfeller provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Triplains/Brewster topped Heartland Christian. He completed 9 passes for 134 yards and also ran for 47 yards. Gfeller's favorite target this week was Justin Culwell, who caught 4 passes for 94 yards.
Culwell was the best wideout in the league this week as Tony Stramel's team defeated the Crusaders. Culwell racked up 4 receptions for 94 yards. Jorgensen helped Triplains/Brewster's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 14 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Logan's Brett Pinkerton and Chad Becker have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Pinkerton has thrown for 740 yards this season, while Becker has 24 catches for 548 yards. Hunter Chandler from Northern Valley leads the league in rushing with 932 yards.
Chandler of the the Huskies is only 68 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 148 carries Chandler has put up 932 yards this year.
At the moment, the Titans are in second, while Cheylin is in sixth.
