After both having extra time off, the Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines and the Hereford Bulls will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Tech & Environmental Science has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Western Tech & Environmental Science saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicole Camacho, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Camacho has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Hereford made sure to put some runs up on the board against Patapsco last Thursday. The Bulls were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Patriots. Considering the Bulls have won six games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Lauren Clement made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Clement was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Ellie Lanford and Morgan Hall did most of the damage at the plate: Lanford went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Hall went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Lanford has hit this season. Aly Wegrzyn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Hereford hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matchups.
Hereford pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Western Tech & Environmental Science has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .478. However, it's not like Hereford struggles in that department as they've averaged .506. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Western Tech & Environmental Science might still be hurting after the 12-5 loss they got from Hereford in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Wolverines have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
