The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks won the last time they faced the Millard South Patriots, and things went their way on Saturday too. Lincoln Southwest walked away with a 64-53 win over Millard South. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln Southwest.
Leading Lincoln Southwest to victory were Braden Frager and Bj Bradford. Frager scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds, while Bradford scored 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Frager has scored at least 25% of Lincoln Southwest's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mari Shumaker, who scored 9 points.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Will Cooper, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Koby Meyers, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Lincoln Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Millard South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Omaha North the next time they take the court. Millard South will head out to face Omaha North at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lincoln Southwest will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
