Erath will challenge Kaplan on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Erath will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Erath took their matchup against North Vermilion last Thursday by a conclusive 39-17 score. Erath were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kaplan beat Berwick 38-33. The success made it back-to-back wins for Kaplan.
Their wins bumped Kaplan to 4-3 and Erath to 2-5. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
