First, multiple media outlets reported that former University of Washington and Portland Trail Blazers great Brandon Roy will be taking over as head coach.

Michael Porter Jr. announced via Instagram he will attending Nathan Hale in the fall. He will be joined by younger brother
Jontay – a Top 50 prospect in the in the 2018 class already committed to Washington.
The Porter brothers played last year at
Father Tolton (Columbia, Mo.) and led the program to the Class 3 state title. Michael averaged over 28 points per game and was a MaxPreps Junior All-American first team selection.
In May, Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar hired Michael Porter Sr. as an assistant on his staff. That prompted the transfer of his sons to Seattle.
Friday's developments represent a massive change of fortune for Nathan Hale, a program that went 3-18 a year ago and lost by 81 points to Metro League foe Rainier Beach.
