Even though the Menendez Falcons scored an imposing 61 points on Wednesday, the Matanzas Pirates still came out on top. Matanzas walked away with  a   69-61  win over Menendez. This was payback for Matanzas, who suffered a  78-73  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Leading Matanzas to victory were  Henry Robinson Jr. and  Tariq Shakir.  Robinson Jr.  scored 16 points along with five  rebounds and four  blocks, while  Shakir  scored 22 points along with five  rebounds. Robinson Jr. hasn't dropped below two  blocks for 15 straight games. Another player making a difference was  Alexander Davis, who  scored eight points along with nine  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Matanzas' victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Menendez, they are  on a five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-10.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing Crescent City the next time they take the court. Matanzas will head out to face Crescent City at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday, while Menendez will  host them  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
