Madera is 2-8 against Clovis North since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Coyotes will challenge the Broncos at 4:30 p.m. Madera's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Clovis North's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Madera is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Redwood. The game was the first time the Coyotes have beaten the Rangers on their field since February 27, 2020.

Viviana Nombrano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Malea Ricks was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Emily Erwin also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Madera hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive contests.
Clovis West typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Clovis North proved too difficult a challenge. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Golden Eagles a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Jocelynn Gonzalez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Gonzalez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Kniss, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Zoey Thomas was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Madera has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Clovis North, they pushed their record up to 19-5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
Madera came up short against Clovis North in their previous meeting back in March, falling 7-3. Can the Coyotes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
