The Chamblee Bulldogs fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Decatur Bulldogs on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 36-34. Chamblee has struggled against Decatur recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Decatur was led to victory by Tim Britt and Barron Scott. Britt gained 89 total yards and two touchdowns, while Scott rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Chamblee's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Decatur, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Chamblee will be playing at home against Lithonia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lithonia is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Decatur, they will head out on the road to face off against M.L. King at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. M.L. King is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
