Natalia's loss came despite strong showings from Yahdi Lujan and Anaya Jones. Lujan scored 22 points, while Jones scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. That was a full 50% of Natalia's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Natalia has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season. As for Lytle, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Natalia will take on Crystal City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lytle, they will be playing at home against Cotulla at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Cotulla is hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses.
