Division V recap Nov. 7, 2012
Somersworth extended the longest winning streak in Division V this week by beating Stevens, 27-10. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Monadnock's Will Kitterman and DJ Lotito have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Kitterman has thrown for 257 yards this season, while Lotito, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 12 catches for 127 yards. Brandon Carleton from Epping/Newmarket leads the league in rushing with 1001 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Somersworth and the Huskies. The Toppers comes into the matchup ranked 13th in the state, while Monadnock ranks 15th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Somersworth takes on Linwood Patdnode's team. The Toppers have allowed 84 points this season, while the Huskies have given up 83.
Monadnock made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,422 from 5,589. The advance stemmed from a 14-6 victory over Kearsarge last week.
