Manhattan/Manhattan Christian extended the longest winning streak in Southern 5B this week by beating Sweet Grass County, 61-12. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Tigers.
Manhattan/Manhattan Christian led the league in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on the Sheepherders.
Jefferson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alex Brunett threw for 104 and one touchdown and Tony Butler had 54 yards receiving. On the ground Brunett chipped in 36 yards. Austyn Paulsen helped Jefferson's passing attack out by catching three balls for 28 yards.
Jefferson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brunett has thrown for 1015 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Butler has 15 catches for 373 yards. David Weinmeister leads the league in rushing with 324 yards.
