After losing to the Fairbanks Panthers the last time they met, the Cedarville Indians decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Cedarville managed a 44-38 win over Fairbanks on Monday.
Despite the loss, Fairbanks still got an impressive performance from Rachael Hoover, who scored 12 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mara Vicari, who scored nine points.
Cedarville's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5. As for Fairbanks, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedarville's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Catholic Central is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Fairbanks, they will be playing at home against West Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
