Make it eight blowout wins for the Winter Haven Blue Devils this season. They claimed a resounding 70-31 win over West Orange at home. The win was familiar territory for Winter Haven who now have five in a row.
Winter Haven found their leader in underclassman Serenity Hardy, who scored 26 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Hardy has scored at least a third of Winter Haven's points. Dashanique Henry was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, West Orange still got an impressive performance from Zulmalyz Sanchez, who scored 12 points.
Winter Haven's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for West Orange, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Winter Haven does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Orange and Colonial will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Colonial will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
