The Pisgah Bears will face off against the East Henderson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pisgah's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so East Henderson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Pisgah is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Tuscola just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 4-3.

Zack Wester spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Henderson). They put the hurt on Owen with a sharp 14-4 win on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the game before.
Cole Holbrook was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Jake Harvey was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Henry Love, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
East Henderson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory got East Henderson back to even at 9-9. As for Pisgah, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 12-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Pisgah has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like East Henderson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Pisgah's way against East Henderson when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Pisgah made off with an 8-0 win. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
