The Whitehall/Harrison Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 21-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thompson Falls.
Leading Thompson Falls to victory were Nick Tessier and Bryson LeCoure. Tessier picked up 129 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while LeCoure rushed for 84 yards.
Thompson Falls' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Whitehall/Harrison's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.3 points per game. As for Thompson Falls, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.
Whitehall/Harrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thompson Falls will head out on the road to face off against Red Lodge/Roberts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Red Lodge/Roberts' favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
