Notre Dame has gone a perfect 3-0 against Sequoia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Tigers will square off against the Ravens at 4:30 p.m. Notre Dame is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
On Monday, the Tigers needed a bit of extra time to put away the Regents. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Regents. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since March 11th.
Skylar Loo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Nicole Stancil was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: the Tigers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sequoia came up short against Capuchino on Tuesday, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Ravens in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.
Nisha Mehta made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Annika (Annie) Gottshall, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Sequoia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for the Tigers, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-10-1.
Everything went Notre Dame's way against Sequoia in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Notre Dame made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
