Jayda Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off 11 hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
