Having just played yesterday, the Park Hill South Panthers will jump right back in to play the Mullen Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Park Hill South ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 47-43 W over Mesquite. The win was all the more spectacular given Park Hill South's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 101st in Missouri, while Mesquite is ranked second in Arizona).
Mullen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 24 points or more this season. They blew past Harpeth Hall 45-21. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mullen.
The victory was the third in a row for Park Hill South, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. As for Mullen, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
