The biggest upset of the week belonged to Saugatuck, who took down 306th ranked Saugatuck, 26-13. Matt Tewell ran for 115 yards and caught one passes for 75 yards in the win.
Brian Norman and Tewell provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Indians. The connection was good for 75 yards, the longest such play in Southwestern - North this season.
Norman put up the best numbers through the air as Bloomingdale defeated Saugatuck. He finished with three completions for 89 yards and one touchdown.
Adam Vosburg was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 30 carries, he ran for 189 yards as Gobles topped Bill Dunn's team. Brandon Blodgett also contributed to the rushing game with 73 yards on the ground.
Gobles' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joey Olsiewicz has thrown for 405 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Jacob Tiller has six catches for 138 yards. Vosburg leads the league in rushing with 808 yards.
The top two teams in Southwestern - North will face off this week when first place Gobles takes on second place Bloomingdale. Last week, the Tigers beat Bangor, while Bloomingdale topped the Indians.
There should be lots of points scored when Gobles and Phil Halamka's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Jim Wiseley's team comes in having scored 230 this season, while the Cardinals have scored 104. The Tigers scored 34 points last week as they bested the Vikings.
