The Franklinton Rams will face off against the Wakefield Wolverines at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Franklinton will be strutting in after a  victory while Wakefield will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Having struggled with five  losses in a row dating back to last season, Franklinton finally turned things around against Louisburg  on Friday. They took down the Warriors 33-17. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their three-point performance the  match before.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklinton to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Keith James, who threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns.  A Durham helped  James out on the ground, rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
 Durham wasn't the only one working in the  rushing yards department: Franklinton was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 210  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since  back in September of 2023.

 Meanwhile, Wakefield was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were beaten by Clayton 51-6. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings  (they are ranked 233rd, while the Comets are ranked 34th).
 Franklinton's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Wakefield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
 Franklinton took a serious blow against Wakefield  when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, falling  41-7. That  matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Franklinton was down  21-0.
