The Venture Academy Mustangs put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over Golden Valley. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Venture Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Venture Academy had a senior duo take command as DaeLeon Neal scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and Cameron Lowe dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. The contest was Lowe's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Mario Williams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Venture Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Golden Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Venture Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mountain House at 7:15 p.m. on December 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Mountain House is ranked 137th, while Venture Academy is ranked 154th). As for Golden Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Liberty Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
