The Durand Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight loss. They fell to Warren 47-43. Durand lost against Warren in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 39-4 score last time.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lola Robertson, who scored 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robertson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurora Hilton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Durand has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Warren, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.
Durand will be playing in front of their home fans against Aquin Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Aquin Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday. Warren's road trip will continue as they head out to face East Dubuque at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
