Albert Gallatin posted their closest win yet this season on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Belle Vernon and snuck past 70-67. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Albert Gallatin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake White, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Shymere Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Southmoreland rang in the new year with a 77-70 win over Elizabeth Forward last Friday.
The win makes it two in a row for Albert Gallatin and bumps their season record up to 6-5. As for Southmoreland, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Albert Gallatin came up short against Southmoreland in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 74-70. Thankfully for Albert Gallatin, Elijah Myers (who scored 21 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
