The Tolland Eagles had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 52-41 win over Hartford Public. For Tolland, this counts as revenge for the 59-52 defeat Hartford Public walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Hartford Public lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eric Guy, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyreke Malone , who scored ten points.
Tolland's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hartford Public, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Tolland will head out on the road to face off against Glastonbury at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hartford Public will be home for the holidays to greet Berlin at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
