Given Redlands East Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Cajon is ranked 628th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jeremiah Ivens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caio Da Silva, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Redlands East Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Cajon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Redlands East Valley will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Yucaipa at 6:45 p.m. Hopefully Yucaipa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Cajon, they will head out on the road to take on Redlands at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
