It was a good run, but Kenowa Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to the Okemos Wolves at home by a 59-45 margin. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Wolves are ranked second).

Kenowa Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Okemos, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenowa Hills will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Covenant Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Okemos will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Holt at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
