Georgetown and New Richmond are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Georgetown G-Men will be playing in front of their home fans against the New Richmond Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Georgetown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday.
Last Monday, Georgetown beat East Clinton 42-33.
Among those leading the charge was Lizzy Cahall, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Emily Bertram was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, New Richmond's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Batavia at home and fell 61-34. New Richmond has struggled against Batavia recently, as their contest on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for New Richmond, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Things could have been worse for Georgetown, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-36 loss to New Richmond in their previous meeting back in December of 2022.
