After two games on the road, Trinity Christian is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Immanuel Christian Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on February 6th. Trinity Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
Trinity Christian pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 78-55 defeat at the hands of Fredericksburg Christian. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity Christian in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Immanuel Christian entered their tilt with the Fighting Owls with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Immanuel Christian came out on top against the Fighting Owls by a score of 66-55 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Immanuel Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Josh Choat out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. Cameron Blanding was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Trinity Christian dropped their record down to 7-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Immanuel Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Trinity Christian came up short against the Warriors when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 65-59. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Blanding, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds.
