It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Swainsboro Tigers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 24-17. The win was nothing new for Swainsboro as they're now sitting on four straight.
Swainsboro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demello Jones, who rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
The last time Swainsboro lost on the road was back back in October. Having now won three straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Brooks County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
Swainsboro is on the road again on December 11th and play against Prince Avenue Christian at 4:00 p.m. on December 11th. Prince Avenue Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 162 points over their last three games. Brooks County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
