The Clay Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Columbia Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
While Clay's win against Fernandina Beach wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils slipped by the Pirates 35-34 on Friday. The Blue Devils' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Landon Martin
| 10/17/25 vs Fernandina Beach | 170.7 |
| 09/26/25 vs Ridgeview | 145.8 |
| 08/30/24 vs Yulee | 142.4 |
| 10/18/24 @ Fernandina Beach | 140.2 |

Landon Martin had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 269 yards and three scores while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (170.7). Daylen Brown was in the mix as well, providing Clay with two TDs.
Clay's run defense was locked in: Fernandina Beach could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. While two picked up at least seven total tackles, Wyatt Rapoza stood above the rest. He made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss). Clay didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.9.
Meanwhile, while Columbia put up plenty of points last Friday, the same can't be said for Ridgeview. The Tigers blew past the Panthers 44-0. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four matchups by 35 points or more so far this season.
Columbia's win came from a few key players Clay will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xavier Collins, who threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Drew Simmons helped Collins out on the ground, picking up 55 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also punching in one rushing score.
One reason for the win was Columbia's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as six different players picked up one apiece. Kameron Mills was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss).
The victory made it two in a row for Columbia and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points in those games. As for Clay, their record is now 2-6.
Clay was taken down by Columbia 49-13 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
