JW North had to endure an 11-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Citrus Hill Hawks on Tuesday. The Huskies not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 20th.
JW North never let Citrus Hill on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-13, 29-27.
Henry Quinteros paced JW North's offense, picking up eight kills. Quinteros got some help from Antonio Solorzano and his 22 assists. Christopher Ortiz De alba controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-15. As for Citrus Hill, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, JW North and Poly will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 5:15 p.m. on March 13th. As for Citrus Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against West Valley at 5:30 p.m.
