The Creekside Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Tocoi Creek 79-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Creekside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Collier, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Collier set a new season high mark in assists with eight. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Nelson, who scored 23 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Creekside and bumps their season record up to 10-6. As for Tocoi Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Creekside will take on St. Augustine at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tocoi Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beachside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
