Saranac is 2-8 against the Aggies since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Saranac Redhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Dansville Aggies at 7:00 p.m. Saranac is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday, Saranac suffered a tough 68-46 loss at the hands of the Pirates. While losing is never fun, Saranac can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 616th, while the Pirates are ranked 80th).
Meanwhile, Dansville entered their tilt with the Pilgrims with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Dansville put the hurt on the Pilgrims with a sharp 54-30 victory on Friday. Dansville pushed the score to 50-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pilgrims cut but never quite recovered from.
Saranac has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Dansville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Saranac beat the Aggies 57-48 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saranac since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
