The Killingly Redmen will head out on the road to face off against the Griswold Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Lyman Memorial scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Killingly still came out on top. Killingly snuck past Lyman Memorial with a 64-60 victory.
Meanwhile, Griswold entered their tilt with Bacon Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Griswold was the clear victor by a 80-60 margin over Bacon Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Killingly's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Griswold, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Killingly opened the new year with a less-than-successful 51-42 loss to Griswold. Can Killingly avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
